Frequently Asked Questions

What is Self-Paced Learning and what are the advantages?

Self-paced learning allows the students to work independently, at a pace that is comfortable to them, in a very low pressure environment, 100% hands on.

Advantages:

  • Greater retention by working in 2-4 hour time segments rather than a one day seminar.
  • Greater detail of software - 20 hours of basic, 20 hours of intermediate, 20 hours of advanced. Most one day seminars offer 6-7 hours of lecture. There are a vast amount of capabilities within various software programs. You must take the time required to learn all of it in order to maximize your productivity.
  • No pressure to keep up with faster students, no being held back by the needs of slower or less experienced students, no sitting and wasting time with topics you are already familiar with or topics you don't need to learn.
  • Classes begin every day. No waiting for the next offering of the course you are interested it.
  • No cancellations. One person is a class in a self-paced environment.
  • You won't have to leave your job for a full day.
  • 100% hands-on. People learn by doing, not by listening.
